Requirements - What are we looking for ?

Age

18-25.

Your experience

• GCSE and A-level French. Experience of staying in France is an advantage.
• Work experience involving children and/or team work is an advantage.

General characteristics

 

Outgoing, friendly personality, maturity, organisational skills, initiative, authority, confidence, determination, independence, reliability, sense of humour, open mind, diligence, ability to work well autonomously when necessary but also within a team environment, ability to relate to a large teaching staff, affinity with children, motivated interest in promoting British culture.

Also possess

Personal skills in dealing with adolescents and young adults, who in some cases may be aged 20+. It should also be noted that scheduled time for assistant lesson preparation is not included in the timetable and is thus a constant responsibility requiring high levels of initiative and organisation.

 

Your interests

An interest in teaching and children/young people. A desire to live and work in France and to experience Vendéen culture first hand. An open mind towards a different lifestyle and a strong commitment towards integrating within the local community.
